Jewish Family Service is offering a Job Seekers Support Group for active job seekers who are unemployed, underemployed or seeking a career change. The next group will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 from 7:00—9:00 PM at 150-A West High Street, Somerville, NJ

The topic for this session is “Library Resources for Job Seekers” presented by Brendan Boyle, Head of Reference, Bridgewater Library, Somerset County Library System. This group is offered free of charge and is open to the entire community. To register, please contact Elise Prezant at 908-725-7799 or eprezant@JewishFamilySvc.org.

Jewish Family Service generally holds the Job Seekers Support Group on the first Wednesday of every month. There are some exceptions, however, so we suggest you check this web site for updated information.

Parent Support Group

Peer Support for parents with a special needs child

An opportunity to come together with other parents who share similar experiences of parenting. Led by a licensed clinical social worker with experience working with families of special needs children. This group will meet for 6 sessions to learn, share and explore the issues most important to participants.

Fee: $10 per session (scholarships available)

Café Europa

Jewish Family Service of Somerset, Hunterdon and Warren Counties is pleased to announce the next Café Europa. Café Europa is a social group for Holocaust survivors who, from 1933-1945, resided in European countries that were subject to Nazi rule and control.

Through speakers, discussions and entertainment, Café Europa gives its members an opportunity to meet new people with similar backgrounds and provide a setting for people to share stories, experiences, and concerns.

Café Europa promises to be enjoyable and informative for all who participate.
